Is fire ant control safe for pets?
There is no specific information on the label that addresses pets. We use this product on our home lawn and have 2 dogs. The product should be watered in immediately after application, pets can go back on the lawn after the product is watered in and completely dry.
I have pest control service, should I get fire ant control too?
It's up to you to decide your preference. Ask your pest control provider if they offer year-round protection, or spot treating. Spot treating for ants will only treat the visible ants and not the colony beneath the surface. It’s like a game of whack-a-mole and they will keep coming up in different places. We have Pest control for our home and still use the fire ant control because it does suppress them much better than spot treatments alone.
